Resident Care Associate/Resident Assistant (CMT; Certified Medication Technician)

The Loft at Linn is looking for Resident Care Associates/Resident Assistants/CMT (Certified Medication Technicians) to join our Memory Care Unit.

We have part-time positions on morning, evening and night shifts.

Overview:

The Resident Care Associate/Resident Assistant provides a wide range of programs based on a resident’s abilities and interests. This position arranges daily and individual activities that incorporate interaction and cognitive stimulation with a personalized, warm approach. The Resident Assistant provides residents with routine daily care and services including providing assistance during meals, ADLs, and helping to provide for the general comfort and wellness of the residents of the Memory Care Program.

Duties:

– Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

– Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

– Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals

– Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents

– Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior

– Ensure residents’ rights are respected at all times

– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans

Education:

Must possess, as a minimum, a 12th grade education.

Graduated from an approved State Training Program in Drug Administration.

Qualifications:

Must be a licensed CNA(Certified Nursing Assistant) in accordance with laws of this State and must be licensed Certified Med Tech(C.M.T).

– Experience in long-term care, dementia care is preferred

– Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care practices

– Ability to lift and move residents when necessary

– Familiarity with home community care, memory care, direct support, or home care services is a plus

– Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
